For a fun change of pace in worship this summer, we’ll explore some lesser-known references to animals in scripture and wonder together what God still has to say to us through the testimony of the natural world.

PICTURE DIRECTORY SIGN UP
Stop in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday mornings from 9:00 to 11:00am to sign up to have your family picture taken for the new directory.
Available dates are:

and Monday, August 30 through Thursday, September 2
from 2:30 to 8:50pm each day.
There are no costs to you (purchase is an option, not an obligation) and you will receive a complimentary 8 x 10 portrait and a church directory. Images will be viewed immediately after being taken.

CEAP BACK TO SCHOOL SUPPLIES
The Women of Peace Lutheran will be accepting donations for back-to-school supplies to assist CEAP with the many requests from students in Anoka County who need help with back-to-school supplies. Shop the sales now for the following supplies:

You can also donate money to buy any of the above. Please use a special offering envelope and mark it “CEAP School Supplies.” Thank you for helping those in the community who need help in starting the school year off with necessary supplies.
Donations must be in by Sunday, August 8. Backpacks will be filled on Monday evening, August 9 at 6:30pm. Please come and help assemble the backpacks.

Peace Lutheran Women’s Retreat
All Women of Peace Lutheran are invited to a retreat at the Lake Place in Siren, Wisconsin on Friday and Saturday, August 20 and 21. A sign up list is in the Fellowship Hall. We hope to meet at the church on Friday to car pool for the 1½ hour trip to Siren. The time for leaving may vary depending on people’s schedules.
Pastor Nancy will be leading us in a study prepared by the Women of the ELCA, Paths to Wholeness.
We will have the afternoon and evening for getting acquainted, a light supper and a camp fire, s’mores, music and enjoy the sunset. On Saturday we will continue with the study, perhaps take a walk, eat and just relax by the lake. Any questions, please call the church office.
