I hope you are doing well and that you had a good Fourth of July holiday!
A couple of reminders: Tonight, Wednesday, July 7, at 6:00pm, there is a brief informational meeting for the National Youth Gathering. This is open to youth who will be 14-18 years old next July, 2022. Youth and their parent/parents should plan on attending. If you have any questions, please contact me.
In person worship continues this coming Sunday. As you know, we have removed the mask mandate from our building, but are strongly encouraging masking in worship. I understand that for some this seems inconvenient. I appreciate your help in this. We still need to consider those who cannot be vaccinated, those with immune compromised health and young families with children under 12. Coffee Fellowship will be this Sunday, July 11 and Sunday, July 18.
We are having in person VBS, August 9-13. If you haven’t registered your child/children yet, please go on the website and do so, or stop in the church office and pick up a form.
Wednesday morning Bible Study will meet on Zoom on July 14 and July 28 at 10:00am. I will send the link to those of you who have been attending. If you would like to join, send me an email, and I’ll include you in the link.
Looking ahead, we have the funeral for Carmy Martin on Saturday, July 24, at 11:00am, with visitation at 10:00am. There will be a luncheon served after the service. Please call the church office if you plan to attend.
The bells are leaving for Custer, South Dakota tomorrow, Thursday. They are being tuned and refurbished, and will be returned to us, hopefully by September. Thank you for your many donations to ‘bell camp.’ We received a reasonable bid for the work, and it’s lower than we originally believed: around $2,300. This is fantastic news! Donations and the funds budgeted for the bells will cover this work.
You will receive a mailing toward the end of July/beginning of August, with the start up plans and the news for programming this fall. It’s going to be a great year with much to celebrate!
