We had such a beautiful Confirmation Sunday! Many prayers to our youth who affirmed their baptismal promises, and for their families and friends who have supported them and continue to support them in their faith journeys.
On Friday, October 1, we are holding a Pfizer Booster clinic. This is for individuals who received their second Pfizer vaccination at least 6 months ago. If you desire an appointment for your Pfizer booster, please contact me by cell at 612-280-6493, and I will get you scheduled. This is only for those who have received Pfizer vaccines.
This coming Sunday, October 3, at 10:00am, we are in person for worship. Please remember masking is required throughout the building. Because of scheduling conflicts, we have had to reschedule Steve Gripp’s farewell reception to Sunday, October 10, following the 10:00am service. Sorry for an inconvenience. We look forward to thanking and celebrating Steve on Sunday, October 10. If you are not able to attend, please send your cards and greetings to the church office and we will see that he receives them.
Tonight is the first Confirmation Class for all 6th grade- 8th grade students. Parents should drop students off just before 6:00pm and return to pick them up at 7:00pm. Please use the doors closest to the church offices.
Tonight is High School Youth Group from 7:30pm-9:00pm. Be sure to come and meet our new Youth Director, Jessie Hodgson. It will be a fun evening! All high school age youth are welcome to attend!
Middle School Youth Group will meet in the Youth Room following the 10:00am worship this Sunday, October 3. Middle School Youth group will meet from 11:am-12:30pm. Our new Youth Director, Jessie Hodgson, is looking forward to meeting you on Sunday!
Next Wednesday evening, October 6, at 7:00pm, there will be a National Youth Gathering meeting in the Sanctuary. Please bring your registration form and deposit. This should be a brief meeting to update everyone on funding plans and to get t-shirt sizes. This meeting is for parents and youth. High School Youth group begins at 7:30pm and we hope you will stay for youth group!
Looking ahead: There is a New Members Gathering on Saturday, October 9, at 10:00am. This is for the new members who have joined in the last many months and also for those who are planning on joining Peace Lutheran. Please call the church office (763-757-4459) to register. We will receive new members during the Reformation Service on Sunday, October 31, at 10:00am. We hope to see many of you there!
Looking further ahead: The Trunk or Treat event will be in our parking lot on Halloween night, October 31, from 5:00-6:30pm. I would appreciate you hosting a car in the parking lot. Please contact me by cell if you are able to come and distribute candy from your car on Halloween evening. We will start parking cars any time after 4:00pm. We would appreciate your donations of bags of candy for the evening. You can drop candy off during office hours or on Sunday mornings.
