It’s hard to believe we have crossed the halfway point of the Lenten season. This evening, our Lenten worship services continue at 6:30pm. Tonight’s theme is “Mercy in Betrayal.” I hope you will join us for worship as part of your Lenten discipline.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Peace Lutheran Webstore. Your orders will be delivered on Palm Sunday morning, April 10. The hope is to re-open the webstore this fall for those of you who missed the opportunity to order.
Thank you for your ongoing donations to the Food Shelf. We are in the midst of preparing for Easter Holiday Baskets, so your generosity is especially appreciated. We are collecting all items, especially boxed pasta, spaghetti sauce, canned fruit, canned chicken and tuna, pancake mix and syrup, boxed oatmeal packets, and kid friendly cereals and snacks.
Please stop in the Fellowship Hall and pick up your offering envelope boxes. If there is an error, please use the clipboard by the boxes to leave a note for the office.
The Confirmation Retreat is this Sunday, March 27, from 11:00am-5:00pm. All confirmation students are required to attend the retreat. If your student cannot attend, please reach out to Pastor Tim.

God is Good! We have 23 Foundational Givers this year! As you know, we are in the midst of the “God’s Grace” campaign. The ask is that those who are able would make an additional, sacrificial financial gift during the Lenten Season. If you choose to do so, please write your check to Peace Lutheran and put “God’s Grace,” in the memo. A special thank you to our Foundational Givers and to all of you who are able to participate in the campaign.
I have most of the volunteers needed for ushering on Palm Sunday and Easter, although, I would welcome a few more. I have enough communion servers for Easter, but am interested in hearing from those of you who want to be on communion teams going forward. Thank you so much for reaching out and for volunteering your time.
The Women of Peace budget meeting will be held on Monday, March 28, at 6:30pm. They will be planning the budget for 2022 and discussing plans for Women of Peace events and programs. This is the first meeting since Covid arrived in 2020, please join us for this meeting.
The Gerten’s plant fundraiser for our youth going to camp Wapo continues through April 7. There is information for you in the Fellowship Hall. Plants will be delivered to Peace Lutheran on Saturday, May 14.
Office hours are normal next week. Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from 8:30am-Noon and Thursday morning from 8:30am-Noon for those of you who have made appointments with me.
