Dear Friends,

It’s hard to believe that we have entered the season of Advent, and that Christmas preparations are well underway.  This email contains several asks and reminders for the season.

Please take time to sign up to assist with worship. There is a sign-up sheet for Ushers, Greeters, and Communion Servers for the three Christmas Eve worship services at 10 am, 4 pm, and 10 pm. We want to get everyone signed up so we have plenty of help for worship! Thanks in advance for your help!

If you have friends, family or neighbors who you know would benefit from aChristmas Holiday Basket, please let Julie and I know as soon as possible. We need to capture a final count of all the families we can serve this season, and your help is deeply appreciated. All the contacts are confidential. 

With that, this year, we are including gift cards for the families: we are suggesting $25 gift cards from Walmart or Target: and we are including family board games in our boxes this year. A list of needed food donations is contained in the second part of the email. We so appreciate all your help in making the holiday season brighter for the families and friends of Peace Lutheran!!

This coming Saturday, December 2, we will be decorating the sanctuary and parts of the church for the holiday season. We would welcome any volunteers who would like to help to meet us at Peace at 9 am.  With that, please don’t forget that poinsettias order forms are available for flower orders.

Mark your calendars for a fun, family night on Wednesday, December 13. We will have a fun family advent craft for all ages, and community dinner 5 pm and worship at 6:30 pm. Worship will be a presentation of the Grinch, with music and holiday readings and a great deal of fun!!  Come at 5 pm, and make an evening of it!!

There are devotionals available for youth and adults on the welcome table where most of you enter the church: we also have a Christmas story book for the children on the welcome table. I hope you enjoy the devotions and the book!

Please remember that there is a special congregational meeting on Sunday, December 10, at 11 am, for the purpose of discussing the sale of what many know as Outlot A.  This meeting is open to all members and all members are encouraged to attend.
