Weekly Announcements from Pastor Valerie Brown-Greenly, Senior Pastor
Dear Friends,
Thank you so much to those members who were able to join us for the Annual Meeting on Sunday. The meeting went well. We have copies of the Annual Report for those members who were not able to attend the meeting and would like a copy. We can give you a copy when you stop in; we won’t be mailing copies.
I hope you are planning on stopping in tomorrow (Ash Wednesday) between 7:30am-Noon or 1:00pm -5:00pm, for forgiveness and absolution and the imposition of ashes. At that time, you can also pick up your Lenten kit. (includes the Ash Wednesday bulletin, a devotional for Lent, a Lenten calendar, a giving box, and ashes to be used with other family members or friends during the Wednesday evening service). It will be good to greet you and share Holy moments as we enter the Lenten season.
The facility continues to be used for vaccination clinics for Mental Health Care Workers of Anoka County and their clients. We are unsure about any ‘open’ clinics for our 65 and older members. I will keep you posted if such an opportunity should arise. Please do not call me and inquire about being on a list. I am not keeping a list, nor do I know if we will have a 65 and older clinic. Right now, we are busy working with Genoa Healthcare and Anoka County, and continuing to vaccinate Mental Health Care Workers and their clients. It is a privilege for Peace Lutheran Church to be of such service in our community during this time of COVID, and to serve those who are most vulnerable. Rejoice with me in the variety of ministry we work on together as this faith community!
Be sure and stop in tomorrow, and let’s visit as we begin this Lenten Season. Please join us online tomorrow evening for our Ash Wednesday Service at 6:30pm.
God Bless You…Take care…Be safe…
Pastor Valerie
