A Message from Pastor Valerie
Dear Friends,
Halloween is just a few days away. I hope you are planning on hosting a car for our Trunk and Treat in our parking lot on Halloween evening. Please come and park anytime after 4pm. The event is from 5-6:30 pm. In the past, we have had hundreds of children walk through with their parents. The Men of Peace will be providing hot dogs, chips, cider and coffee. We have candy to re-fill your cars. Please come and join us for this fun event.
Thank you to everyone who is donating bags of candy! As many of you know, it takes a lot of candy to meet the needs of our little “Trunk or Treaters!” We will continue to accept candy donations through Halloween morning!
The youth group will be carving pumpkins TONIGHT, 7:15 – 8:15 p.m. If you have a pumpkin you would like to carve, feel free to bring it. Peace has a limited supply of pumpkins.
This coming Sunday is Reformation Sunday. Please wear red and come and join us for the morning! We will have coffee/fellowship and an opportunity to enjoy the Boutique before and after worship! Hope to see you on Sunday!
The newsletter was mailed today. Please be sure and read it as it includes the holiday worship schedule, special events, activities and information.
All Saints Sunday is Novembers 6. There will be special time in worship to celebrate the lives of the Saints of Peace Lutheran and to remember our loved ones who have passed into eternal life. The Men of Peace are hosting a pancake breakfast before and after worship! If you want to purchase a rose in memory of a loved one, please use the order form found on the table in the entry way by the Church Office or call the office and we can take your order over the phone. This coming Sunday is the deadline for ordering roses.
The Peaceful Country Boutique is this coming weekend! Don’t forget, there are meal opportunities on Friday evening and Saturday along with boutique shopping. On Sunday the boutique will be open before and after worship. What a selection this year! Not to be missed! Special thanks to our crafters, our chefs, and our volunteers for making this event happen! A very special thank you to Judy Svenddal for all of her organizing and work!!
The Thanksgiving basket ministry is gearing up. Thank you for your ongoing food donations. We are in need all the basics: boxed dressings, soups, canned vegetables, boxed oatmeal, cereal, pancake mix and syrup, peanut butter and jelly, canned meats, spaghetti sauce, and boxed pasta.
Remember that when you are parked for any extended period of time, our parking lot is being monitored for the safety of all and the security of your vehicle while you are enjoying your time in the building, either in worship or at a special event!
I hope you have a great week! See you soon! Take care… be safe…
