Dear Friends,

Wednesday night community meals begin this evening, serving from 5-6 pm. Be sure and invite your family and friends to these community meals!   Middle school and high school youth group begins this evening at 6:30pm. Tonight, youth will enjoy a bonfire and play some games and have a time to plan and think about the activities for the year. With that, Peace Lutheran is sending a group to the National Youth Gathering this summer, so we want as many youths as possible to sign up to attend. Information for the Gathering will be emailed and also included in announcements as we prepare for this life changing experience!

Spirit Time continues tonight from 6-7 pm. All children 3 years old through 5^th grade is invited to attend. We have music, games, story and craft. It’s a great hour for the little ones!

The service of Affirmation of Baptism is this Sunday at 10 am. Please pray for the 13 young adults who will be affirming their faith, and for their families on this special day! Refreshments will be served in their honor following the service.

This coming Sunday, our Liberian congregation, Enlightened Christian Center International will begin their worship in the Fellowship Hall at 12:30 pm. We are so excited to partner with our new friends, and will hopefully be participating in holiday worship together throughout the coming year. They will worship in the Fellowship Hall area on most Sundays, from noon-3pm. If you are interested in connecting with them, or perhaps hosting with them, please contact me.

I’m gathering a few people who would be interested in doing Holy Communion and visits with our home bound members this year. I will provide the training. Please contact me with your interest and we will get a meeting set for the group.

As fall begins, so does our Stewardship Campaign, “After Sunday.” This focus will be on the life of the Christian during the week; ‘After Sunday,’ how are we living out our call to follow Christ in the world? I will provide a longer section on this topic in our upcoming newsletter.  If you are interested in being a foundational giver for this program by making an additional financial gift for this campaign kick-off, please contact me with questions and comments.
